Extra Virgin Olive Oil is used as a "carrier" for the M. aurum bacteria throughout the production process, ensuring that each capsule has the right amount of M. aurum throughout encapsulation. Extra Virgin Olive Oil has an added benefit in that just a teaspoon per day is enough to improve general health.

Ingredient Suspension
Beeswax is a natural material, included as an ingredient to maintain the suspension of the bacteria throughout the production process. Beeswax ensures that the tiny amounts of M. aurum in each capsule are evenly distributed through the Extra Virgin Olive Oil during the encapsulation process.

Modified Corn Starch
Non-GMO Modified Corn Starch is used in combination with carrageenan to replace gelatin to maintain vegetarian status. Used to maintain capsule integrity, corn starch allows the capsule shell to act as a barrier against oxygen, light, moisture, and dust.

Glycerol acts as a plasticizer of the capsule shell, which helps in the formation of the capsule and ensures that it remains elastic and pliable to prevent brittleness and cracking.

Carrageenan is used as a thickening agent in the manufacture of the vegetarian soft gel capsule shell, to give structure to the capsule in combination with corn starch as a substitute for gelatin to maintain vegetarian status.
